*PRE-ORDERS*
"Pre-orders are sometimes made available for locales that are in high demand. If a pre-order option is available, it means that frogs of that locale have been born and are at least 8 weeks out of water. We ship most Oophaga locales at approximately 6 months OOW. Purchasing a pre-order frog secures your rights to those exact offspring. After purchase is made, you will receive an email containing details about the offspring and their parents, photos, and an estimated timeline for shipping date. We will do our best to provide progress updates as the frogs develop during the holding period. In the rare event that there is a developmental issue with the offspring you had reserved, you will be notified and offered either a replacement, full refund, or 120% website credit for the amount of your original order.

*SHIPPING POLICY*
We ship live animals, plants, and feeder cultures only when weather and transit conditions are safe. Orders may be held until the next safe shipping window.
Live orders typically ship Tuesdays & Wednesdays only. We do not ship live animals late in the week if there is a risk of the package being delayed over the weekend. Mondays are available by request. If you need a different shipping day, please contact us to coordinate before placing your order.
All frog orders must be scheduled with us before shipment. We may contact you by email, text, or phone to confirm a safe ship date, delivery address, and weather conditions.
Shipping notifications may be created before the package physically leaves our facility. Please use the carrier tracking number for the most accurate updates.
Weather & Delays
We reserve the right to delay shipment due to unsafe temperatures, storms, carrier delays, holidays, or any other condition that may put live animals or plants at risk.
Live arrival is not guaranteed if the package is delayed by the carrier, left outside after delivery, shipped during unsafe weather at the customer’s request, or delivered to an incorrect/incomplete address provided by the customer.
Live Arrival / DOA Guarantee
We guarantee live arrival only when all of the following conditions are met:
- The order is shipped using an approved shipping method.
- Someone is available to receive the package on the first delivery attempt.
- The package is brought indoors immediately upon delivery.
- Any DOA issue is reported within 1 hour of delivery.
- Clear photos or video are provided of the unopened/packaging condition, box contents, and deceased animal or culture.
DOA claims must be emailed to us within 1 hour of the tracking-marked delivery time. Claims submitted after this window are not eligible for refund, replacement, or store credit.
What Is NOT Covered
We do not offer returns on live animals, plants, feeder cultures, or other perishable items. We are not responsible for losses caused by carrier delays, missed delivery attempts, packages left outside, incorrect addresses, unsafe weather requested by the customer, or failure to follow this policy.
Approved DOA claims may be resolved by replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
